Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Otoniel Rafecas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the game, Gombal Cañal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paysandú FCU's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mendoza the free kick. After 2 played minutes Paysandú FCU got a freekick which was hit by Gombal Cañal. The supporters of Paysandú FCU booed when Mendoza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurendi Morell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gombal Cañal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Otoniel Rafecas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mathey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Otoniel Rafecas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mendoza's Ariel Mathey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Paysandú FCU booed when Mendoza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuri Heras didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Paysandú FCU's goal looked a bit too open when Leoiar Roda came free, but Eneko Edeon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leoiar Roda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Edeon having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Paysandú FCU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Basajaun Urrea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mendoza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basajaun Urrea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orti Dean kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Mantzio Baragaño fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paysandú FCU's protests and gave Mantzio Baragaño a yellow card for diving instead. 31 minutes into the match, Mendoza's goal looked a bit too open when Gombal Cañal came free, but Ariel Mathey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Leoiar Roda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mendoza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eneko Edeon made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Basajaun Urrea sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zuri Heras during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Zuri Heras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paysandú FCU's Otoniel Rafecas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mendoza's Ariel Mathey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gombal Cañal in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leoiar Roda was the one to do the kick off. Saturnino Velasquez charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saturnino Velasquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basajaun Urrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eneko Edeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jatsu Alire in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Otoniel Rafecas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paysandú FCU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otoniel Rafecas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otoniel Rafecas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otoniel Rafecas struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ariel Mathey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paysandú FCU. In the 67th minute, Harkaitz Gambo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariel Mathey was a little too slow when Otoniel Rafecas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. Ariel Mathey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otoniel Rafecas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gombal Cañal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ariel Mathey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuri Heras got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Zuri Heras hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Otoniel Rafecas made a precise shot to the right of Ariel Mathey. Mendoza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Otoniel Rafecas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jatsu Alire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eneko Edeon having to interfere. Jatsu Alire might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eneko Edeon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jatsu Alire ran back to his position shaking his head. Leoiar Roda struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Eneko Edeon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendoza. Otoniel Rafecas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Mathey having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Paysandú FCU eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
