When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Llorenc Tobar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zumar Palma. After a rather tough play, Ideal de Montevideo's Cordaro Herriaga got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Ideal de Montevideo's Hustaz Perma got control of the ball when Lop Abar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Llorenc Tobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Alberto Pardelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hustaz Perma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Lop Abar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hustaz Perma. Lop Abar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josu Theas during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Josu Theas. 3-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Alberto Pardelas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hustaz Perma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Pardelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Nacional's Alberto Pardelas in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ideal de Montevideo the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josu Theas to maneuver through the defense. Hustaz Perma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lop Abar in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alberto Pardelas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hustaz Perma was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Ideal de Montevideo's Llorenc Tobar was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Zumar Palma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paz Saboya in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ideal de Montevideo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nacional.
