After 12 minutes of play, Nacional's Alberto Pardelas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mane Taboada was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Teodoro Salamanca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Sagrario Trespuentes a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Sagrario Trespuentes. When Josu Theas came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josu Theas couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The supporters of Nacional booed when Fenerbache F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbes Pedros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lugo Contreras struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Zumar Palma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbache F.C. Mane Taboada made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lop Abar sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute Alberto Pardelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mane Taboada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute Lugo Contreras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zumar Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when Teodoro Salamanca put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nacional fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Aurken Guardamino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zumar Palma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Lugo Contreras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vedillo Cigüenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lugo Contreras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zumar Palma having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Fenerbache F.C's Eliazar Valenciano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zumar Palma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nacional had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
