Victor Sosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Urtsua Galindo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Artigas Devils and the Reyes Canelones FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Artigas Devils's Urtsua Galindo got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Transito Ungia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Urtsua Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iraitz Baena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artigas Devils's Victor Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ihintza Riguero in the 31st minute of play. Ihintza Riguero struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Victor Sosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reyes Canelones FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Transito Ungia got free with Victor Sosa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ihintza Riguero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Reyes Canelones FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urtsua Galindo was the one to do the kick off. Artigas Devils's Hug Villacis got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Ihintza Riguero made a precise shot to the right of Victor Sosa. Artigas Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Victor Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ihintza Riguero, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Reyes Canelones FC's zone, Hug Villacis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iraitz Baena came out of the goal and Hug Villacis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtsua Galindo in the 69th minute of play forced Reyes Canelones FC's goalkeeper Iraitz Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Quin Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Transito Ungia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ihintza Riguero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Sosa was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Ihintza Riguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Reyes Canelones FC got a freekick which was hit by Harri Morata. In the 94th minute Quin Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Reyes Canelones FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
