Zapican FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ospin Panadero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eudoxio Badas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ospin Panadero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jose-Antonio Diana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Arteson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of El Semillero booed when Zapican FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santxo Castejana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santutxo Averasturi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Felix Guiral recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eudoxio Badas. Felix Guiral showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Felix Guiral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eudoxio Badas was a little too slow when Felix Guiral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Ivon Orellan fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapican FC's protests and gave Ivon Orellan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zapican FC's Ivon Orellan got a free kick in the 44th minute. Eufrasio Ferragudo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee ignored El Semillero's protests and gave Vasco Erosa a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Guiral during the 53rd minute.
