The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Zapara booed when Tincho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Saco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matro Usabiaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadzio Pelaez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karmel Gallarde charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karmel Gallarde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The corner ended in Tano Alari almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zapara's Unax Baizan did a great save. If Isidro Baul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Pedro Augusto Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Unax Baizan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Tano Alari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Unax Baizan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 30th minute, Samuel Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
