Xamo Renta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Quinto Lamas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diegotxe Giribet in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Robert Nesta Marley's Cipriano Cubas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quinto Lamas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Quinto Lamas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Löv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Robert Nesta Marley's Xicu Parserises got a free kick in the 44th minute. Mané Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Garaile Monagray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Garaile Monagray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xamo Renta went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Lucas Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignacio Gonzales during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Robert Nesta Marley fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Club Atletico Capurro a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. Quinto Lamas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Robert Nesta Marley's goal looked a bit too open when Anaya Paredes came free, but Garaile Monagray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
