Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gu Quan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelemen Zaldua in the 4th minute of play forced Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper Marcelito Cirion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Gu Quan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelito Cirion. Punta Carretas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gu Quan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Gu Quan came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ferro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gu Quan couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gu Quan in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelito Cirion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Punta Carretas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Bentkowski came free, but Marcelito Cirion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Punta Carretas FC got a freekick which was hit by Zigor Cuellar. Ziemowit Bentkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelito Cirion having to interfere. Roque Peñacerrada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Ixidor Lelerre made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Candido Laurentzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ferro's Ixidor Lelerre got control of the ball when Zigor Cuellar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gu Quan in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelito Cirion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Ferro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Punta Carretas FC:s goal. In the 29th minute Roque Peñacerrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ixidor Lelerre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Punta Carretas FC's Cordera Silvestre got a free kick in the 36th minute. Marcelito Cirion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Lefevere in the 38th minute of play. Ziemowit Bentkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marcelito Cirion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Gu Quan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ferro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Gu Quan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Punta Carretas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ferro were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Siro Molinuevo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gu Quans short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Marcelito Cirion to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kelemen Zaldua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ixidor Lelerre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Peñacerrada in the 65th minute of the match. Kelemen Zaldua hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ziemowit Bentkowski struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Marcelito Cirion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferro. Gu Quans short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Marcelito Cirion to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ziemowit Bentkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marcelito Cirion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Gu Quan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gu Quan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Ferro got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Lefevere. Ixidor Lelerre came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Punta Carretas FC's Ugutz Urbina. But to his dismay, Ugutz Urbina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Gu Quan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gu Quan in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelito Cirion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gu Quan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Marcelito Cirion skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ferro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
