Despite this Walter Corbou quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30th match minute, Ferro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Porter to maneuver through the defense. Chacarita FC's Eudoxio Esoin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Walter Corbou but with some difficulty. 33 minutes into the match, Ferro's goal looked a bit too open when Paavo Real came free, but Walter Corbou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kelemen Zaldua kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Zenaido Baptiste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kelemen Zaldua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziemowit Bentkowski in the 46th minute of play forced Chacarita FC's goalkeeper Cecep Budiarto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kelemen Zaldua made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chacarita FC's Menendo Seoane. Cecep Budiarto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gu Quan in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Gu Quan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cecep Budiarto. Gu Quan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Ordas in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Corbou saved Ferro from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Gu Quan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecep Budiarto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
