The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernard Errazquin firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 6th minute Malvin Olaondo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Oxarra Redin fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banda Oriental F.C.'s protests and gave Oxarra Redin a yellow card for diving instead. Banda Oriental F.C.'s Bernard Errazquin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Alberto Cubilla in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Piriapolis FC's Erling Braut Haaland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Errazquin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Bernard Errazquin stood somewhat misplaced when Luis Alberto Cubilla came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. In the 24th minute, Erling Braut Haaland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernard Errazquin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erling Braut Haaland got free with Bernard Errazquin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Alberto Cubilla in the 33rd minute of play forced Banda Oriental F.C.'s goalkeeper Bernard Errazquin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 34 in the game by Luis Alberto Cubilla from a close distance when the talented Bernard Errazquin managed to make a qualified save. Banda Oriental F.C.'s players were relieved. After 35 played minutes Banda Oriental F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eutropio Abraldez. The supporters of Piriapolis FC booed when Banda Oriental F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eutropio Abraldez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Alberto Cubilla's shot from long distance in the 36th minute was not bad at all, but Banda Oriental F.C.'s Bernard Errazquin knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 37th minute, Oxarra Redin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Errazquin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Cubilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Luis Alberto Cubilla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Bernard Errazquin when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

52 minutes into the match, Banda Oriental F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Alberto Cubilla came free, but Bernard Errazquin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Piriapolis FC's Luis Alberto Cubilla in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Banda Oriental F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th minute, Banda Oriental F.C.'s Leizarraga Mota seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leizarraga Mota the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Banda Oriental F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leizarraga Mota had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 56 played minutes Banda Oriental F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Leizarraga Mota. 60 minutes into the match, Piriapolis FC's Luis Alberto Cubilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Errazquin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernard Errazquin came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Piriapolis FC's Luis Alberto Cubilla. But to his dismay, Luis Alberto Cubilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 68th minute Silvio Bertrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Errazquin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Alberto Cubilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Errazquin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Bernard Errazquin came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Piriapolis FC's Luis Alberto Cubilla. But to his dismay, Luis Alberto Cubilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 80th minute, Luis Alberto Cubilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piriapolis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 82 minutes into the match, Banda Oriental F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Erling Braut Haaland came free, but Bernard Errazquin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Piriapolis FC booed when Banda Oriental F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernard Errazquin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erling Braut Haaland in the 84th minute of the match. When Luis Alberto Cubilla came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Piriapolis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Alberto Cubilla couldn't finish the play. Bernard Errazquin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Alberto Cubilla in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the Banda Oriental F.C. defense, Hugo De Leon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Errazquin. The Banda Oriental F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Errazquin should have stopped the shot. Sindo Rosales hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Piriapolis FC were the better team. Piriapolis FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
