Paulin Sequeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Gaspar Rocio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s Gordon Suarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ni Tian Peng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Gordon Suarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ni Tian Peng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Suarez came free, but Ni Tian Peng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Castellon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulin Sequeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Duarte Castellon slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. Paulin Sequeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Kalikis in the 29th minute of play. El Pinar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thanos Kalikis in the 31st minute. Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Castellon in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Fredrik Holden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Sequeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Janari Hinn hit a great ball. Thanos Kalikis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulin Sequeiros. Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Gordon Suarez came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Vanadio F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordon Suarez couldn't finish the play. Ni Tian Peng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordon Suarez in the 38th minute of the match. Vanadio F.C. were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after El Pinar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maxin Oces took the corner. If Gordon Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 43 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Suarez came free, but Ni Tian Peng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vanadio F.C.'s Evaristo Gurruchaga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Celedonio Llin, made in the 45th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ni Tian Peng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When El Pinar's Thanos Kalikis in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vanadio F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After 56 played minutes Vanadio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gordon Suarez. In the 58th match minute, Vanadio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordon Suarez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fredrik Holden hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Nikos Valassiou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Sequeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Castellon in the 68th minute of play forced Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulin Sequeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ni Tian Peng came out of the goal and Leizarraga Olmedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Thanos Kalikis came free, but Paulin Sequeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leizarraga Olmedo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ni Tian Peng saved El Pinar from getting behind. The Vanadio F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Vanadio F.C.'s Leizarraga Olmedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leizarraga Olmedo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ni Tian Peng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ni Tian Peng came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Vanadio F.C.'s Gordon Suarez. But to his dismay, Gordon Suarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After some careless play in the El Pinar defense, Leizarraga Olmedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ni Tian Peng. The El Pinar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ni Tian Peng should have stopped the shot. The Vanadio F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vanadio F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
