After 11 played minutes Atletico Maturrango got a freekick which was hit by Quintin Ageitos. After some careless play in the Club Carolino de Fútbol defense, Florencio Herbella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fausto Raposo. The Club Carolino de Fútbol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fausto Raposo should have stopped the shot. Cordara Baracaldo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Weather Piedrahita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marques Rovira in the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Atletico Maturrango got a freekick which was hit by Quintin Ageitos. Atletico Maturrango's attentive Marcial Zuazna managed to snatch the ball when Montae Güerga made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute Florencio Herbella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Raposo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marques Rovira was the one to do the kick off. Club Carolino de Fútbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ederono Ojero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Arraiz during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atletico Maturrango booed when Club Carolino de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Arraiz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
