Airo AFC's Lester Florido got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Viviano Ackermann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Erasmo Anders made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Airo AFC's Leopoldo Jacinto Guillermo got a free kick in the 11th minute. Airo AFC's Lester Florido got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Orlando Portes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casimír Huilcaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Pierre Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Airo AFC's Casimír Huilcaman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierre Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viviano Ackermann got free with Erasmo Anders in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erasmo Anders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentín Peñaranda's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. If Viviano Ackermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valentín Peñaranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Anders having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentín Peñaranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentín Peñaranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Lester Florido got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Airo AFC's Casimír Huilcaman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pierre Urbano. That made the score 0-2 after 62 minutes of play. A collision led to Rungue getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Octavio Inzunza hit a great ball. Erasmo Anders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Portes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Rungue's goalkeeper Pierre Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lester Florido. Casimír Huilcaman struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Pierre Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airo AFC. Pierre Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimír Huilcaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Erasmo Anders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viviano Ackermann in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Airo AFC's Nazario Canal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nazario Canal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Airo AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nazario Canal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Airo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Rungue a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Reynaldo Cifuentes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Airo AFC's Erasmo Anders. 1-2. In the 89th minute, Lester Florido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rungue's Pierre Urbano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Rungue from getting a goal against them. When Lester Florido came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Airo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lester Florido couldn't finish the play.
