Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) Niguel Edwards started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Hilario Waiben managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quellon's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Waiben was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Canto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Waiben in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Canto saved Huilqueco from getting behind. When Francisco José Nicoletti came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Quellon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco José Nicoletti couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Nafarroa Jorquera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Estebano Ubiergo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Manolo Fuenzalida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If David Lizana Lezana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurín Cristofanini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huilqueco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco José Nicoletti in the 31st minute of play forced Huilqueco's goalkeeper Ulises Canto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quellon's zone, David Lizana Lezana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurín Cristofanini came out of the goal and David Lizana Lezana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hilario Waiben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Canto having to interfere. Hilario Waiben blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulises Canto having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hilario Waiben made a kick off. Ulises Canto stood somewhat misplaced when Francisco José Nicoletti came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 56 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niguel Edwards in the 59th minute of play forced Quellon's goalkeeper Maurín Cristofanini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quellon's Hilario Waiben got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Marcelo Aguacero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Odilón Pequeño from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Ulises Canto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Xosé Gebauer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Narcís Malaree, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maurín Cristofanini came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Huilqueco's David Lizana Lezana. But to his dismay, David Lizana Lezana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Maurín Cristofanini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niguel Edwards in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Huilqueco getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Manolo Fuenzalida hit a great ball. Maurín Cristofanini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niguel Edwards, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Francisco José Nicoletti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulises Canto. Huilqueco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco José Nicoletti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quellon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
