Real Dortmund FC's Benjamín Backhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Mutis in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Real Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Benjamín Backhouse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Martín Calderón. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Dortmund FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
