In the 20th minute, Luis Eduardo Bolivar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Los Trovadores C.F's Igon Avilés got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Haroldo Larrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes of play, Llequiman FC's Luis Eduardo Bolivar made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Mateluna was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Haroldo Larrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Llequiman FC booed when Los Trovadores C.F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Héctor David Perales didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Mateluna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Larrea in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Trovadores C.F's goalkeeper Eusebio Mateluna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Llequiman FC's goalkeeper Manu Olano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Los Trovadores C.F's David Daldos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manu Olano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aurelius Panatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manu Olano having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Llequiman FC got a freekick which was hit by Baudelio Montesinos. After a rather tough play, Llequiman FC's Quintén Mac Kenney got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aurelius Panatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebio Mateluna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Larrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Mateluna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo Larrea's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Luis Eduardo Bolivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 minutes, Guillermo Deneken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Trovadores C.F and the Llequiman FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Eduardo Bolivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
