The tension between the Universidad de Chile and the Rosapeta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Universidad de Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdón Soruco to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Enrique Mariano Cuadra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Rosapeta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabino Cisneros came free, but Andoni Reccius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosapeta FC's goalkeeper Andoni Reccius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andoni Reccius came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Universidad de Chile's Gabino Cisneros. But to his dismay, Gabino Cisneros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alesandro Diaz Montero kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Gabino Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32ndth minute of the game Gabino Cisneros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosapeta FC's Andoni Reccius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco José Dorr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andoni Reccius having to interfere. In the 35th minute Gabino Cisneros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoni Reccius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Francisco José Dorr left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Universidad de Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gabino Cisneros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Osorez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristofer Villagrán in the 46th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Universidad de Chile got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Mariano Cuadra.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco José Dorr stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Universidad de Chile's Francisco José Dorr slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andoni Reccius. That made the score 0-3 after 52 minutes of play. Enzo Osorez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Liñán in the 59th minute of play. Andoni Reccius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco José Dorr's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco José Dorr in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andoni Reccius saved Rosapeta FC from getting behind. In the 65th minute of the match Echedey Galeas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enzo Osorez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gabino Cisneros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Rosapeta FC's goalkeeper Andoni Reccius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabino Cisneros. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosapeta FC's goalkeeper Andoni Reccius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Francisco José Dorr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gabino Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Elear Fischer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Universidad de Chile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
