Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andoni Liñán to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Araucana AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andoni Liñán came free, but Emiliano Placente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Araucana AFC's Emiliano Placente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andoni Liñán in the 67th minute of play. Andoni Reccius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pacífico White in the 87th minute of play. If Omar Paillalef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Araucana AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
