Tabalongo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco José Dorr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco José Dorr in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pere Jordi Rio saved Tabalongo from getting behind. Francisco José Dorr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Tabalongo's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco José Dorr came free, but Pere Jordi Rio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Abdul Landi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But to his dismay, Gabino Cisneros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Francisco José Dorr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gabino Cisneros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pere Jordi Rio having to interfere. Francisco José Dorr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Francisco José Dorr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universidad de Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco José Dorr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Universidad de Chile's Gabino Cisneros suffered a concussion after 91 minutes and had to leave the field. Estebano Alvarado charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Estebano Alvarado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Francisco José Dorr came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Universidad de Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco José Dorr couldn't finish the play. Universidad de Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
