Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alvar Villalcazar kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute of the match, Orlando Polhemus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victoro Sastre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Xavián Sudi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuenca's Geraldo Maragaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Solminihac in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Central's Máximo Solminihac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Maragaño made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Cuenca's goal looked a bit too open when Xavián Sudi came free, but Geraldo Maragaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Máximo Solminihac hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Xavián Sudi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Solminihac in the 28th minute of play forced Cuenca's goalkeeper Geraldo Maragaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victoro Sastre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Dziedelonis in the 30th minute of play. Victoro Sastre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Polhemus in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Cuenca got a corner. Central's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zbigniew Dziedelonis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cuenca's Zbigniew Dziedelonis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victoro Sastre in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 38th minute Edilberto Sirens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Maragaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Central booed when Cuenca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Primeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th match minute, Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edilberto Sirens to maneuver through the defense. Victoro Sastre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Polhemus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geraldo Maragaño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edilberto Sirens went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Cuenca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Central were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Máximo Solminihac to strike the kick off in the second half. Geraldo Maragaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Solminihac, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After 55 minutes of play, Cuenca's Mauricio Primeiro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victoro Sastre was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Geraldo Maragaño managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Central's Máximo Solminihac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Victoro Sastre came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cuenca's Alvar Villalcazar. But to his dismay, Alvar Villalcazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Máximo Solminihac who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Geraldo Maragaño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69thth minute of the game Edilberto Sirens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuenca's Geraldo Maragaño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when León Warnes put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Central fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Cuenca. Zbigniew Dziedelonis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victoro Sastre. 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cuenca's zone, Edilberto Sirens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geraldo Maragaño came out of the goal and Edilberto Sirens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edilberto Sirens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruyman Olavarrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Maragaño having to interfere. Edilberto Sirens struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Geraldo Maragaño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Central. In the 97th minute Alvar Villalcazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoro Sastre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cuenca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Central for a fine match.
