In the 3rdth minute of the game David Israel Cares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vortex FC's Damario Arredondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oriol Mas kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vortex FC's Filomeno Urenda got a free kick in the 6th minute. Vortex FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when David Israel Cares scored to the left of an out of position Damario Arredondo, making the score, 1-0. Hermelando Vilches struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Damario Arredondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovalle. The supporters of Vortex FC booed when Ovalle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Súnico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damario Arredondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Israel Cares in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, David Israel Cares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damario Arredondo. Vortex FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Israel Cares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Vortex FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Estevan Basauri came free, but Damario Arredondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermelando Vilches struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Damario Arredondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ovalle. Ovalle's Cristofer Ornaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caupolicán Chirinos in the 38th minute of play. Vortex FC's Damario Arredondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Vortex FC from getting a goal against them. Hermelando Vilches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Damario Arredondo made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Israel Cares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute David Israel Cares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damario Arredondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vortex FC's goalkeeper Damario Arredondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caupolicán Chirinos's late challenge caught a Ovalle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caupolicán Chirinos helped the player get up and apologised. Damario Arredondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Israel Cares, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. David Israel Cares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Vortex FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Manuel Aballay. Julián Ensslin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damario Arredondo having to make a save. Joaquin Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cristofer Ornaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filomeno Urenda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ovalle had played much better football throughout.
