In the 5th minute, Yeray Baros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Licanray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 18th minute, Yeray Baros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Licanray's Lucero Vizcaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Manuel Zuasnabar in the 21st minute of play. Luis Eduardo Daguerressar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucero Vizcaya having to interfere. Conrado Droste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lucero Vizcaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Quillagua AFC's goalkeeper Naelio Hucke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yeray Baros. When Mannuel Moya fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Licanray's protests and gave Mannuel Moya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Mannuel Moya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucero Vizcaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Eduardo Daguerressar in the 40th minute of play. Luis Eduardo Daguerressar scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucero Vizcaya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Licanray's zone, Conrado Droste stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucero Vizcaya came out of the goal and Conrado Droste tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Eduardo Daguerressar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lucero Vizcaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Yeray Baros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quillagua AFC's Naelio Hucke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alirio Mac Millan in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Quillagua AFC's Carlos Manuel Zuasnabar got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Alirio Mac Millan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Naelio Hucke was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. When Celedonio Page fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quillagua AFC's protests and gave Celedonio Page a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Quillagua AFC got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Page. In the 74th minute Conrado Droste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucero Vizcaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naelio Hucke came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Licanray's Alirio Mac Millan. But to his dismay, Alirio Mac Millan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Naelio Hucke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alirio Mac Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Yeray Baros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Licanray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yeray Baros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Alirio Mac Millan in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Naelio Hucke came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Licanray's Yeray Baros. But to his dismay, Yeray Baros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Naelio Hucke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mannuel Moya, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Quillagua AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Manuel Zuasnabar. In the 99th minute of the match Licanray got a corner. Quillagua AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sergio Almendros ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Licanray's corner Sergio Almendros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Naelio Hucke quite easily take care of the ball. Quillagua AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
