If Pau Fath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Pau Fath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palquin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pau Fath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurín Oviedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palquin AFC's zone, Laurín Oviedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavián Ackermann came out of the goal and Laurín Oviedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pau Fath to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Palquin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurín Oviedo came free, but Xavián Ackermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palquin AFC's Jaume Ariztía got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Palquin AFC defense, Salomone Claro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xavián Ackermann. The Palquin AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xavián Ackermann should have stopped the shot. 4-0 became the score in the 57th minute when Salomone Claro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Papujune FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Valiente Sanabria hit a great ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palquin AFC's goalkeeper Xavián Ackermann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurín Oviedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Papujune FC's Wilfredo Malky got control of the ball when Pau Fath tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Palquin AFC booed when Papujune FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermenegildo Basualto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Laurín Oviedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Salomone Claro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavián Ackermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
