Eduard Coromina ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Dietsch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Almeyda in the 91st minute. When Francisco Antonio Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Curaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Antonio Fantini couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Curaco's Emilio Dietsch threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elodio Patiño, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horacio Jesus Anthony succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 99th playminute. Curaco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
