After having played for 22 minutes, Valer Oardă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lois Yevenez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Samuel Farias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Oardă in the 31st minute of the match. Romano Almendras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dionisio Tous in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mérida's Miquel Aninat got a free kick in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Valer Oardă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Farias was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Samuel Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Oardă in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mérida's zone, Valer Oardă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Farias came out of the goal and Valer Oardă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lois Yevenez to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Dionisio Tous shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romano Almendras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Lois Yevenez made a precise shot to the right of Romano Almendras. Wolvers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 62ndth minute of the game Valer Oardă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Mérida's Samuel Farias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Valer Oardă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Jeraldo Waddington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romano Almendras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mérida's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Niño de Zepeda came free, but Samuel Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romano Almendras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Tous, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Mérida had won after a very even match.
