Spectators: 6711 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valer Oardă started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Wolvers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Matas came free, but Romano Almendras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montechico's Tomás Mantilla got a free kick in the 12th minute. Valer Oardă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rogerio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jon-Ander Picado came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Wolvers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon-Ander Picado couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Montechico's zone, Valer Oardă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogerio Barros came out of the goal and Valer Oardă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Valer Oardă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Delmiro Somarriva hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Jon-Ander Picado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Montechico's Rogerio Barros didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valer Oardă in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogerio Barros saved Montechico from getting behind. In the 40th minute Wolvers FC were awarded a corner. Jon-Ander Picado went to the cornerflag to take it. Wolvers FC's Jon-Ander Picado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rogerio Barros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Valer Oardă put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rogerio Barros. In the 46thth minute of the game Valer Oardă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montechico's Rogerio Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Filiberto Matas made the kick off in the second half. Rogerio Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valer Oardă went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valer Oardă in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogerio Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Hernán Cortés hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valer Oardă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Barros having to interfere. Romano Almendras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Matas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alipio Valencia got free with Romano Almendras in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Wolvers FC's Romano Almendras got control of the ball when Agustín Pappenheim tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Matas in the 77th minute of play forced Wolvers FC's goalkeeper Romano Almendras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes Montechico got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Pappenheim. Rogerio Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Oardă in the 80th minute of the match. When Valer Oardă came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Wolvers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valer Oardă couldn't finish the play. Alipio Valencia in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romano Almendras, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Natalio Niño de Zepeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valer Oardă in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogerio Barros saved Montechico from getting behind. Montechico's Rogerio Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Niño de Zepeda in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Wolvers FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
