Carlos Gustavo Tagle had several of the Quintay AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Angelino Guardas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Angelino Guardas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelado Devilat in the 22nd minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Humberstone got a freekick which was hit by Xaiver Vásquez. When Filiberto Zuburu came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Quintay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Zuburu couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Guajardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Pol Mahns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alonzo Guajardo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th play minute Alipio Azócar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pol Mahns. 1-2. In the 64th minute, Abelado Devilat made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Guardas. Quintay AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After having played for 74 minutes, Abelado Devilat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Humberstone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelado Devilat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelado Devilat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Angelino Guardas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberstone's Pol Mahns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Guajardo in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Humberstone booed when Quintay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Lasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pol Mahns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Guajardo's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Alonzo Guajardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pol Mahns having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Humberstone's goalkeeper Pol Mahns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alipio Azócar. In the 93rd minute Alonzo Guajardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pol Mahns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Abelado Devilat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Guardas. Quintay AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelado Devilat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Humberstone had won after a very even match.
