Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alipio Azócar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eufrasio Acle's late challenge caught a Quintay AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eufrasio Acle helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Caritaya FC booed when Quintay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabino Patterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelino Guardas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Marinot in the 19th minute of the match. Alonzo Guajardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roger Blanc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Quintay AFC's Alipio Azócar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Quintay AFC booed when Caritaya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Vaccia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Juan Antonio Quiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narciso Marinot struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Angelino Guardas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caritaya FC. If Narciso Marinot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Alipio Azócar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintay AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alipio Azócar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Blanc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 played minutes Caritaya FC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Vaccia. After 45 minutes of play, Quintay AFC's Alipio Azócar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Blanc was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narciso Marinot was the one to do the kick off. Alonzo Guajardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Blanc having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Franco Zamudio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caritaya FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quintay AFC the free kick. Franco Zamudio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Alipio Azócar came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Quintay AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alipio Azócar couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Guajardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Blanc having to interfere. When Alonzo Guajardo got free in front of the goal in the 70th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Roger Blanc was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Cipriano Lasa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quintay AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caritaya FC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Cipriano Lasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alipio Azócar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Blanc having to interfere. If Juan Antonio Quiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alonzo Guajardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintay AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonzo Guajardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Blanc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute Alonzo Guajardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Blanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quintay AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caritaya FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
