After recieving a nice pass, Deportes Concepcion's Xavier Bolados tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When VILLANUEVA FC's Baldomiro Ipinza in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Baldomiro Ipinza came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the VILLANUEVA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Ipinza couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Deportes Concepcion's goalkeeper Tamariz Döner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Ipinza. Juan María Koch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Döner having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, one of Deportes Concepcion:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Tamariz Döner, was totally fooled by VILLANUEVA FC's Máximo Macaya, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baldomiro Ipinza in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tamariz Döner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan María Koch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Döner having to interfere. Baldomiro Ipinza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Tamariz Döner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 41 minutes into the game, Marín Ortega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportes Concepcion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VILLANUEVA FC the free kick. A collision led to Deportes Concepcion getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marín Ortega hit a great ball. Alcadio Aristegui hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Disvandis Phillips took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimír Iturbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disvandis Phillips was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Casimír Iturbe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 56 minute of play. After a rather tough play, VILLANUEVA FC's Baldomiro Ipinza got a free kick in the 64th minute. Benedicto Iriart hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Juan María Koch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
