In the 18thth minute of the game Andoni Illanes Ansaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportes Concepcion's Tamariz Döner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andoni Illanes Ansaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Döner having to interfere. In the 24th minute Federico Iglesias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamariz Döner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Deportes Concepcion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Parada to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Iglesias in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Andoni Illanes Ansaldo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Laguneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andoni Illanes Ansaldo couldn't finish the play. Juan Alberto Farren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Zercalde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filomeno Ancieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filomeno Ancieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Juan Alberto Farren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Laguneros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laguneros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
