Clemente Tullet made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Omar Rozas however managed to control. If Omar Rozas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicent Magnani's late challenge caught a Club Deportes La Serena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicent Magnani helped the player get up and apologised. Vicent Magnani hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Adolfo Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Rozas went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Clemente Tullet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes, Club Deportes La Serena's Aníbal Chandia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adolfo Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Deportes La Serena reached it. Omar Rozas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Santos having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Clemente Tullet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes La Serena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Alesandro Lasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D CHILOE UNIDO's supporters rose to their feet, but Alesandro Lasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Granada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39 played minutes C.D CHILOE UNIDO got a freekick which was hit by Vicent Magnani. In the 42nd minute, Omar Rozas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Tullet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Santos having to interfere. With a little luck, Club Deportes La Serena's Anselmo Granada got control of the ball when Alesandro Lasa tried to sneak it across the goal line.

C.D CHILOE UNIDO's attentive Timeteo Manzano managed to snatch the ball when Luis Eduardo Arcaya made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Timeteo Manzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Anselmo Granada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Eduardo Arcaya made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.D CHILOE UNIDO's Alesandro Lasa. After 65 minutes, Jacobo Baettig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportes La Serena and the C.D CHILOE UNIDO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.D CHILOE UNIDO booed when Club Deportes La Serena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Baettig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Villegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timeteo Manzano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Granada having to make a save. Clemente Tullet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Isaiás Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Claudio Villegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Granada having to interfere. When Isaiás Murillo fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportes La Serena's protests and gave Isaiás Murillo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes La Serena's Isaiás Murillo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Anselmo Granada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timeteo Manzano, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Although C.D CHILOE UNIDO had been in control for most of the match, Club Deportes La Serena still came away with the win.
