In the 5th match minute, Cold Defense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Karmy to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Cold Defense's goal looked a bit too open when Velasco Zercalde came free, but Amancio Cataldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Cataldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velasco Zercalde's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Velasco Zercalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Amancio Cataldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cold Defense booed when Silpasilvani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Iglesias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Cecilio Villanueva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cold Defense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 29 minutes into the game, Rollo Jory was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jose Miguel Araus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jose Miguel Araus to strike the kick off in the second half. Amancio Cataldo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Velasco Zercalde sent off a good shot on target. Amancio Cataldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Miguel Araus in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Silpasilvani walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
