Victorio Cervantes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés San Cristóbal in the 17th minute. After 20 played minutes, Alcones FC's Omar Olavarrieta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Cervantes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alcones FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrés San Cristóbal got free with Victorio Cervantes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrés San Cristóbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Victorio Cervantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Machuca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amincha's Victorio Cervantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Amincha from getting a goal against them. Victorio Cervantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Machuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Andrés San Cristóbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alcones FC's Carlos Manuel Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cavada in the 45th minute of play. Christiano Machuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Victorio Cervantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christiano Machuca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Cavada's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Carlos Manuel Thompson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 54th minute, Emanuel Cavada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amincha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amincha's goalkeeper Victorio Cervantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Manuel Thompson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Mendoza in the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Emanuel Cavada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amincha's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Cavada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Manuel Thompson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Cavada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorio Cervantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrés San Cristóbal's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Alcones FC's Christiano Machuca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorio Cervantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorio Cervantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés San Cristóbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 88th minute, Christiano Machuca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
