The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laureano Medina charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Medina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lagunita AFC booed when Quintero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quintero AFC's goalkeeper Juan Raúl Melivilu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, José Francisco Mujica successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute, Jose Fenner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Francisco Mujica. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 29th minute, Teofilio Humeres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Raúl Melivilu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatán Balbontín, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Fenner made a kick off. A collision led to Lagunita AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Savier Soza hit a great ball. If Jose Fenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Francisco Mujica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelillo Roquant's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Jonatán Balbontín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunita AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatán Balbontín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Quintero AFC's Laureano Medina got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jose Fenner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Francisco Mujica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilio Humeres in the 74th minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Quintero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Medina to maneuver through the defense. Jose Fenner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quintero AFC's goalkeeper Juan Raúl Melivilu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Albano Ruffat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Raúl Melivilu, 2-1. Angelillo Roquant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Francisco Mujica having to interfere. Quintero AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
