Amato Berrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Jose María Galdames having to interfere. Danél Urbano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Huyar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lucio Jose María Galdames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Viveros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Brian Alarcón managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Alarcón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Huyar booed when Cruzados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenaido Rabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huyar were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Cruzados's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mateo Albonico took the corner. In the 46th minute Leonardo Viveros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Jose María Galdames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brian Alarcón was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzados's zone, Danél Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Colipi came out of the goal and Danél Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rigoberto Colipi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 70 played minutes Cruzados got a freekick which was hit by Ramon María Almoraza. 71 minutes into the match, Raymundo Barcelo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Cruzados's Rigoberto Colipi. Rigoberto Colipi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Huyar's Ramón Garrido got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Ramón Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Viveros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Zenaido Rabe's late challenge caught a Huyar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Huyar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
