Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Cruzados's Brian Alarcón started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Nacho Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute, Hipolito Salvatici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Viveros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Reinaldo Martínez Lamas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Graneros's Nacho Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Colipi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leonardo Viveros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Martínez Lamas having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nacho Pardo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Colipi saved Cruzados from getting behind. In the 20thth minute of the game Ofelio Olivar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzados's Rigoberto Colipi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlo Ávila hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Cruzados's Nicodemo Bisquert couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Graneros. After a rather tough play, Graneros's Ismael Vallejo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Leonardo Viveros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reinaldo Martínez Lamas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rigoberto Colipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Pardo in the 38th minute of play forced Cruzados's goalkeeper Rigoberto Colipi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Colipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ofelio Olivar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlo Ávila came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Graneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Ávila couldn't finish the play. If Nacho Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reinaldo Martínez Lamas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Alarcón in the 45th minute of the match. Ofelio Olivar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Colipi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nacho Pardo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cruzados's Iván Luis Galaz got a free kick in the 51st minute. Cruzados's Brian Alarcón got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Graneros's Rigoberto Colipi threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nacho Pardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amato Berrio during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cruzados getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Amato Berrio hit a great ball. Graneros's Ricard Zavala shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rigoberto Colipi but with some difficulty. Adriel Phillips hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Zenaido Rabe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graneros the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cruzados's Zenaido Rabe got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Graneros's Ricard Zavala broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Brian Alarcón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Garín during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 79 minutes into the game, one of Graneros:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leonardo Viveros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rigoberto Colipi made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ofelio Olivar sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Nacho Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Colipi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Topocho Angulo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Nacho Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Rigoberto Colipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
