The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lander Boonen was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Héctor Matte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Héctor Matte really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Mulluri's Taurino Fierro got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Zebulón Lapierre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Renato Mahuzier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gilberto Thompson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Javier Herquiñigo in the 23rd minute of the match. Zebulón Lapierre did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Lander Boonen 29 minutes into the match. Zebulón Lapierre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zebulón Lapierre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Lander Boonen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pinone Cantuarias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilberto Thompson. Antofazul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Zebulón Lapierre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antofazul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zebulón Lapierre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Pinone Cantuarias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lander Boonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zebulón Lapierre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lander Boonen came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Antofazul's Zebulón Lapierre. But to his dismay, Zebulón Lapierre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Lander Boonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebulón Lapierre in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Antofazul's Zebulón Lapierre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lander Boonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Francisco Javier Herquiñigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Antofazul fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Antofazul's Zebulón Lapierre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 78th minute, Zebulón Lapierre made a precise shot to the right of Lander Boonen. Mulluri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Francisco Javier Herquiñigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Thompson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Antofazul's Gilberto Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Javier Herquiñigo in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Antofazul players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
