Spectators: 6701 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 0) Salvatore Abbott started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Xavián Basualdo made a precise shot to the right of Ruperto Zañartu. Chiguayante AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Alvino Cetina might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Zañartu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvino Cetina ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute, Salomone Ipinza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Katamon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Salvatore Abbott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orlando Villalón. That made the score 1-2 in the 11 minute of play. Alvino Cetina kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Atletico Katamon's Demetrio Torrijos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Demetrio Torrijos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atletico Katamon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Demetrio Torrijos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atletico Katamon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! After 20 played minutes Atletico Katamon got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Jaque. In the 21st match minute, Atletico Katamon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohamed Jaque to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Zañartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvino Cetina in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Nestor Abeliuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiguayante AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Abeliuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Salomone Ipinza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Zañartu was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Chiguayante AFC's zone, Salomone Ipinza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Zañartu came out of the goal and Salomone Ipinza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Zañartu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salomone Ipinza's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Alvino Cetina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Zañartu having to interfere. Atletico Katamon's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Salvatore Abbott 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salomone Ipinza made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Katamon's Salomone Ipinza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Zañartu. That made the score 2-3 after 54 minutes of play. Alvino Cetina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ruperto Zañartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Atletico Katamon's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Abbott came free, but Orlando Villalón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salomone Ipinza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Ruperto Zañartu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alvino Cetina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ruperto Zañartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chiguayante AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Zañartu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ruperto Zañartu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salomone Ipinza's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. A collision led to Atletico Katamon getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Mohamed Jaque hit a great ball. If Salvatore Abbott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
