After a defensive mix-up in Apamica FC's zone, Uriel Cea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Eduardo Cotapos came out of the goal and Uriel Cea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonzo Poveda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Apamica FC! After 32 played minutes La U got a freekick which was hit by Poulus Falcone. After a defensive mix-up in La U's zone, Amador Carrión stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Sola came out of the goal and Amador Carrión tried to chip the ball over his head. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Savier Teran to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Fermín Fanjul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Carrión struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ceferino Sola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apamica FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermín Fanjul in the 55th minute of play forced La U's goalkeeper Ceferino Sola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Cresenciano Diena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apamica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cresenciano Diena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Fermín Fanjul notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of La U's Ceferino Sola. Ceferino Sola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La U's Ceferino Sola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermín Fanjul in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, La U's goal looked a bit too open when Fermín Fanjul came free, but Ceferino Sola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fermín Fanjul came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Apamica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermín Fanjul couldn't finish the play. Fermín Fanjul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Sola having to interfere. Apamica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La U the free kick. After 70 played minutes Apamica FC got a freekick which was hit by Fermín Fanjul. Ceferino Sola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amador Carrión went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Cresenciano Diena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La U's Ceferino Sola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermín Fanjul in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fermín Fanjul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apamica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermín Fanjul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Sola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fermín Fanjul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermín Fanjul in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ceferino Sola saved La U from getting behind. With a little luck, Apamica FC's Luis Eduardo Cotapos got control of the ball when Uriel Cea tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Apamica FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
