In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Rateros's goalkeeper Victor Quiroga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Lacedemonios F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Martiarena came free, but Tito Bazaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Los Rateros's Ceandro Urbistondo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Vladimiro Martiarena took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Tito Bazaes to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute Ceandro Urbistondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tito Bazaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efraín Concha in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Quiroga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Ceballos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tito Bazaes. Lacedemonios F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Xulián Fuenzalida took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tito Bazaes. Tito Bazaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. With a little luck, Lacedemonios F.C.'s Tito Bazaes got control of the ball when Xulián Fuenzalida tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tito Bazaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimiro Martiarena went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the game, Severino Languard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Tito Bazaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimiro Martiarena was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Martiarena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tito Bazaes was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The Lacedemonios F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tito Bazaes should have stopped the shot. Tito Bazaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xulián Fuenzalida, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Los Rateros's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
