The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Alex Barrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mercurio Landa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reyes Cuellar struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Mercurio Landa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Americana FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Barrera in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mercurio Landa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mercurio Landa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Van Diest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Americana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Gac to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cerilo Oses's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yoel Ahrens was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Xeneize FC's Mercurio Landa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Barrera in the 33rd minute of play. Alex Barrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Xeneize FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reyes Cuellar came free, but Mercurio Landa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cerilo Oses stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Américo Mac Iver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yoel Ahrens having to interfere.
