Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reyes Cuellar started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Americana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Urruticoechea came free, but Yoel Ahrens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Marruecoa AFC were awarded a corner. Wilson Tejo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Marruecoa AFC's Wilson Tejo to fire away a dangerous shot which Yoel Ahrens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alex Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leoncio Fabri having to interfere. If Alex Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Severino Van Diest came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Americana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Van Diest couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Marruecoa AFC booed when Americana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Van Diest didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Americana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentín Araneda came free, but Yoel Ahrens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Jeronimo Sarfate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marruecoa AFC booed when Americana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Barrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Mason charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Mason the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marruecoa AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Héctor Urruticoechea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yoel Ahrens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leoncio Fabri made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alex Barrera sent off a good shot on target. Yoel Ahrens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor Urruticoechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor Urruticoechea in the 43rd minute of play forced Americana FC's goalkeeper Yoel Ahrens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Daniel Marcou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Ahrens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yoel Ahrens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Urruticoechea in the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Héctor Urruticoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Ahrens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Jeronimo Sarfate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Wilson Tejo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yoel Ahrens skillfully saved the ball.
