An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Schlubach in the 6th minute of play forced CD Magnates's goalkeeper Feliciano Barra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Rungue's Feliciano Barra threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juan Luis Owen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. CD Magnates's Feliciano Barra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Schlubach in the 10th minute of play. With his leg Feliciano Barra managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Rungue's Efraín Letelier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With 22 minutes on the clock, Mario Mac Gill commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 21st minute, one of CD Magnates:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Magnates. 28 minutes into the match, CD Magnates's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Schlubach came free, but Feliciano Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Saldaña in the 31st minute of play forced Rungue's goalkeeper Gonzalo Cañas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eustaquio Saldaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florián Bassenge during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CD Magnates getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Florián Bassenge hit a great ball. Xavier Grove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Cañas having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Aníbal Ortuzar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Magnates fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Xavier Grove came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the CD Magnates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Grove couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Rungue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Luis Owen to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Cañas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Grove's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Rungue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txomin Peralta to maneuver through the defense. CD Magnates's Florián Bassenge got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eustaquio Saldaña came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the CD Magnates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Saldaña couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Rungue defense, Xavier Grove kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzalo Cañas. The Rungue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzalo Cañas should have stopped the shot. Eustaquio Saldaña hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When the match was over CD Magnates could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rungue throughout the match.
