Rungue's Efraín Letelier got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Rungue booed when Curaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Recabarren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th match minute, Curaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurino Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Faustino San Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efraín Letelier, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Faustino San Miguel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efraín Letelier in the 14th minute of the match. After 15th play minutes Efraín Letelier shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Faustino San Miguel and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filomeno Marx got free with Gonzalo Cañas in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentín Recabarren's late challenge caught a Rungue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentín Recabarren helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Curaco got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Recabarren. Filomeno Marx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonzalo Cañas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xulián Puebla in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Filomeno Marx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Cañas having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Curaco's goalkeeper Faustino San Miguel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efraín Letelier. When Rómulo Fanta fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curaco's protests and gave Rómulo Fanta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute Filomeno Marx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Cañas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Filomeno Marx sped through Rungue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gonzalo Cañas. The supporters of Curaco booed when Rungue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txomin Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Cañas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xulián Puebla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Curaco players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
