Francisco Alberto Smitmans missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 6 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Feliciano Duval right hand side. Saturnino Dell´Orto kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Fabrizio Greco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavi Tassara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavi Tassara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Greco in the 14th minute of the match. Xavi Tassara was a little too slow when Fabrizio Greco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Fabrizio Greco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River LOA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrizio Greco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reyes Molina kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match, Amancio Gorostizaga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Xavi Tassara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 28th minute of the match River LOA got a corner. Canas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabrizio Greco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fabrizio Greco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Canas's Xavi Tassara did a great save. Fabrizio Greco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute, Fabrizio Greco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavi Tassara was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 35 minutes into the match, Canas's Archibaldo Araujo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Feliciano Duval narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Canas's Calvino Gajardo got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Fabrizio Greco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fabrizio Greco came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the River LOA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrizio Greco couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Román Dávila made the kick off in the second half. Manolo Cetina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavi Tassara having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Zikoranachidimma Okorodudu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes Canas got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Alberto Smitmans. Xavi Tassara came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by River LOA's Amancio Gorostizaga. But to his dismay, Amancio Gorostizaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, River LOA's Enric Malfanti got a free kick in the 73rd minute. River LOA's Héctor David Desmadryl was substituted for Amancio Gorostizaga. Constancio Malherbe hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. River LOA made a substitution. Rexino Arlegui replaced Manolo Cetina. Xavi Tassara came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by River LOA's Fabrizio Greco. But to his dismay, Fabrizio Greco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 86th minute, Héctor David Desmadryl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River LOA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After 92 played minutes Canas got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Alberto Smitmans. After 95 minutes Canas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabrizio Greco who took care of the corner kick. The corner led River LOA's Jaume Aracena to fire away a dangerous shot which Xavi Tassara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of River LOA booed when Canas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Alberto Smitmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that River LOA were the better team. River LOA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
