With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peio Panetti in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Pablo Garza saved Pabellon AFC from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Peio Panetti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Pablo Garza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Huechochelin FC's Maximiliano Hernández proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Huechochelin FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Juan Manuel Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huechochelin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Manuel Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Pablo Garza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Huechochelin FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Francisco Martín Meza fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Andreo Salinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Ubeda hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 34 minutes, Juan Manuel Miranda made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pabellon AFC's Juan Pablo Garza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Andreo Salinas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Pabellon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreo Salinas couldn't finish the play. Maximiliano Hernández was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Martín Meza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. After the first half Huechochelin FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Manuel Miranda to make the kick off. Juan Pablo Garza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Manuel Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Andreo Salinas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximiliano Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Juan Pablo Garza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Rosas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Bonifacio Moreno, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Iván Luis Echavarría lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Peio Panetti sped through Pabellon AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juan Pablo Garza. If Juan Manuel Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
