In the 13th minute, Ever Faesch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iván Luis Raymond was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to JoseAntonioFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Zenaido Gipoulou hit a great ball. Ever Faesch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Iván Luis Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo De Rurange in the 30th minute of play forced JoseAntonioFC's goalkeeper Rubén Zapata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. JoseAntonioFC's Rubén Zapata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save JoseAntonioFC from getting a goal against them. Rubén Zapata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo De Rurange in the 43rd minute of play. Camilo Borja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, JoseAntonioFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Castillo Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Efraín De la Sotta lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in JoseAntonioFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ever Faesch managed to get in a good position for a shot. JoseAntonioFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ever Faesch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iván Luis Raymond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubén Zapata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Borja's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Alexandre Castillo Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Rubén Zapata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo De Rurange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iván Luis Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Castillo Velasco in the 82nd minute of play. Leopoldo Jacinto Kroon hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Tancredo Caviedes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubén Zapata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 86 played minutes JoseAntonioFC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Jose Wilson. Camilo Borja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rubén Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JoseAntonioFC! In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Aucanquilcha. Arnoldo Becerra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rubén Zapata. 2-1. Danilo De Rurange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubén Zapata having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aucanquilcha fans cheered their team off the field, for while JoseAntonioFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
