Spectators: 6717 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Daniel Ovalle started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Colo- Colo S.A booed when Paniquihue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxín Hesler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Marcial Gil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Plata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Daniel Ovalle in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Ernesto Daniel Ovalle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Ernesto Daniel Ovalle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Plata. Paniquihue FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Daniel Ovalle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ernesto Daniel Ovalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Viviano Languard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Plata. Paniquihue FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viviano Languard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 19 minutes into the game, Valiente Redondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colo- Colo S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paniquihue FC the free kick. Pepe Cordoba was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Alfonso Dietert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfonso Dietert really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Ernesto Daniel Ovalle notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Paniquihue FC's Leopoldo Plata. Leopoldo Plata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viviano Languard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Leopoldo Plata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Colo- Colo S.A were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Dietert made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ernesto Daniel Ovalle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paniquihue FC's Leopoldo Plata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Colo- Colo S.A getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Arcadio Echenique hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Colo- Colo S.A's Leopoldo Plata threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernesto Daniel Ovalle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Ernesto Daniel Ovalle sped through Paniquihue FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Plata. Urtsín Huici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pepe Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Plata came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Colo- Colo S.A's Ernesto Daniel Ovalle. But to his dismay, Ernesto Daniel Ovalle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Alfonso Dietert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pepe Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Daniel Ovalle in the 88th minute of play forced Paniquihue FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Plata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Tinguaro Anthony managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo- Colo S.A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tinguaro Anthony was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Viviano Languard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Alfonso Dietert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colo- Colo S.A's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
