After 8 minutes, Alarico Colimán mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE and the Huantrunes AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the game, one of INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Huantrunes AFC. Alejandro Piedra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Efraín Soffia. 0-1. If Salbatore Maggiora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Ehijo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Efraín Soffia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huantrunes AFC. In the 34th minute, Jonatan Ehijo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efraín Soffia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some careless play in the INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE defense, Loreto Lanz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Efraín Soffia. The INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Efraín Soffia should have stopped the shot. Abdón Poqué kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE's Mark Iribarren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Huantrunes AFC.

The wind increased when Salbatore Maggiora made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jonatan Ehijo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huantrunes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Ehijo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efraín Soffia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Alarico Colimán ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Giron was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Saturnín Faesch hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Huantrunes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alarico Colimán came free, but Marcelino Giron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DE IQUIQUE's goal looked a bit too open when Abdón Poqué came free, but Efraín Soffia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Huantrunes AFC's Jonatan Ehijo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efraín Soffia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Huantrunes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eufemio Ojeda to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Huantrunes AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
