Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Demesio Urquiza in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meta Ponga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 played minutes Antofazul Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Davis. Meta Ponga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Clemencín Sanhueza. In the 21st match minute, Antofazul Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Antofazul Football Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Punaco:s goal. Antofazul Football Club's Bruno Schiappacasse got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Schiappacasse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menéndez Spöerer having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demesio Urquiza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Demesio Urquiza notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Antofazul Football Club's Meta Ponga. The supporters of Punaco booed when Antofazul Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bruno Schiappacasse came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Antofazul Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Schiappacasse couldn't finish the play. Antofazul Football Club were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
